Thank you to all the professors and students for making last Thursday's Meet the Profs 2010 one of the most successful nights ever! We had a huge turn out and hope future Meet the Profs are better if not just as successful.

Last Thursday we had an exciting day as our 2009 Annual Pumpkin Drop began. Although the rain dampened the event, we ended up having a successful run with great prizes to be given out.
In first place came the mighty pylon pumpkin with overhanging balloons. With its vibrant colors of the red pylon along with its cotton candy color balloons, this was one of the most attractive designs the event has ever witnessed. Unsmashed and unbeat, this pumpkin design proved to be too much for the others.
First Place Members: Josh Lane, Vianna Phillips, Adrian Liu, Ben Mutton
In second place was the box design with cans as cushioning. Although this design has been popular in past years, this unfortunately landed on the wrong end and was smashed. It was a good effort though for the first timers.

We hope this will continue to be a big event and hope more teams participate in this fun and creative event. If you missed out this year, make sure you join us next year around the same time!
