MSME - McMaster Society of Mechanical Engineering

Last Thursday we had an exciting day as our 2009 Annual Pumpkin Drop began. Although the rain dampened the event, we ended up having a successful run with great prizes to be given out.

In first place came the mighty pylon pumpkin with overhanging balloons. With its vibrant colors of the red pylon along with its cotton candy color balloons, this was one of the most attractive designs the event has ever witnessed. Unsmashed and unbeat, this pumpkin design proved to be too much for the others.

In second place was the box design with cans as cushioning. Although this design has been popular in past years, this unfortunately landed on the wrong end and was smashed. It was a good effort though for the first timers.
